Weigh-In Procedure

- All participants are asked to join the meeting by 9:00
- Scales must be digital and placed on a hard level surface
- Athletes must weigh-in wearing their singlet (or equivalent competition attire)
- No shoes, socks, jewelry
- There will be a 0.5 kg allowance for singlet and scale accuracy
- Have your opening Snatch and C&J ready at weigh-in
- Opening attempts are to be submitted via Zoom chat
- Athletes have 1 hour (until 10:00) to make weight, as per normal rules
Competition Setup
- Zoom meeting link will be sent to participants via email
- All participants must join the meeting by 10:45
- Camera must be directly in front of athlete, at a height of ~1 metre
- Camera must be back far enough to keep athlete and bar visible at all times
- Metric weights are preferred but not mandatory
- If pound weights are used, total weight will be rounded DOWN to the nearest kg
- Collars are recommended but not mandatory
- Only 2.5kg collars will be counted towards the weight on the bar
- Clips or other small collars are permitted but will be treated as 0kg
Competition Format
- All athletes will compete in a single group
- Athletes will be called using the round system, grouped by gender
- The Announcer will call the athletes over Zoom audio
- Athletes will have 1 minute from the time their name is called to take their attempt
- There will be no down signal
- Athletes should lower the bar once they feel they have completed the lift
- Coaches are permitted to give their athletes a verbal/visual down signal
- The lift will be judged by 3 referees according to the standard competition rules
- If any part of the athlete or bar moves out of the video, the attempt will be ruled No Lift
- The women will complete their first attempts in the snatch, lightest to heaviest
- Time will be given to allow 2nd attempts to be submitted via Zoom chat
- The women will complete their second attempts in the snatch, lightest to heaviest
- Repeat for 3rd attempts.
- The Men will then take their snatch attempts following the same format
- Once a round starts, no weight changes are permitted for that round
- Their will be a 10 minute break between Snatch and C&J
Notes
- This format was chosen to give the best possible rest time for each athlete.
- The women will typically have a 6 lift wait between their attempts
- The men will typically have a 4 lift wait.
- The men’s snatches will start immediately after the 21 women’s Snatch attempts
- The women will start the C&J after the 15 men’s Snatches, plus the 10 minute break
- The men’s C&Js will start immediately after the 21 women’s C&J attempts
Technical Considerations
- Make sure you have reliable wifi, or, if possible, a physical network connection
- Poor quality audio or loud background music will make it difficult to hear the Announcer call your name
- Poor quality video might result in a No Lift ruling if the officials cannot verify the lift
- Attempts missed due to bad or lost connections will be ruled No Lift
- A link to the live scoreboard, including attempt clock, will be provided
- This is a web page, NOT part of the Zoom meeting
- Ideally the scoreboard should be displayed on a separate device
