This June - Challenge yourself to finish 100 kilometers!
Run, hike, walk, cycle, count your steps. It's up to you!
You make the rules.
Complete your challenge anywhere.
You can enter on your own, or as a group/team.
Take on 100k in a day, a weekend, a week, or all month.
This isn't a race for athletes with superpowers. It's a challenge to raise money and awareness for youthline.ca and to show you that you can make a difference, and that you are far stronger than you know.
Share your challenge and your journey with family and friends. Send them to the 100k my way charity page on canadahelps.org to make a donation if they can. Every bit helps! Tell them to drop your name in the donation comments to give you some extra credit and motivation!
A few points to follow, no matter how you set your challenge:
- Covid sucks! - Please follow your local pandemic guidelines for social distancing and gatherings. Stay healthy out there!
- Challenge yourself, but don't kill yourself. 100 kms is a really long way. If it hurts, take a day off. If it continues to hurt, consult your doctor before you continue.
- Every participant is a winner - we are all athletes trying to accomplish our goal. It doesn't matter if its 100 kms in a month, or 7 hours, it is a huge goal and we should all be proud of each other and support one another every step of the way.
- Every step is for an amazing cause - always remember that.
- Share your journey - even if you don't have any giant milestones today. The true value isn't on the moon, it's in the staircase that got you there.
- Have Fun
Also, share your story on the 100k day facebook page so we can all cheer you on and help motivate each other to do something truly amazing for ourselves, and an incredible non profit organization.
Thank you for your interest and support.
We hope to hear your story soon.
