Recommended Gear
It is highly recommended that you have the following gear to ensure your safety:
- Hydration pack (bladder) and/or handheld bottles with a minimum of 1L400-600 calories (plan to eat 200-300 calories per hour)
- Windproof/water resistant jacket
- Cellular phone
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses and/or Hat
Other Rules:The River Valley is busy and there will be traffic on the trails. These trails are shared with cyclists. When on single track trails, we ask that you be aware of your surroundings and step to the side of trails to allow mountain bikers to pass. If you decide to run with headphones, please leave one headphone out so you can be aware of your surroundings.
Please use City of Edmonton washroom facilities, if available.
Please ensure that you let a friend know of your plans to run this challenge and when you will be running it. If you become injured, please utilize your cell phone and contact this friend for help. If you are seriously injured or have a medical event, please call 911.
