Beta Sigma Alpha, Sororidad Latina, Inc.

Beta Sigma Alpha, Sororidad Latina, Inc. was founded in 1991 at the University of Connecticut as a service organization dedicated to addressing the needs of the Latino community.  

Our sorority’s mission is to be a positive force in the lives of young Latinas pursuing higher education by providing guidance and support. 

We applaud the efforts of these young women by offering the annual Alma Maldonado-Cordner Book Scholarship.  Scholarships are awarded to undergraduate female students of Latino origin attending a four-year university. Scholarship applicants must reside in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey or Massachusetts at the time of application.
