FAQ
What is a Virtual Run/Walk?
A Virtual event is one where you get to choose where and when you run! There is no specific location, just run, walk, or jog, your chosen event distance, outside or on a treadmill during the event dates. Most people use a Garmin, (or some other sport watch such as an Apple Watch) or their mobile device to choose a route and track their distance. You get a personalized (your name on it) race bib, an AWESOME medal, and a face mask!
How do I post my results?
There will not be any chip timing but we will provide you with a link to post your results. You have the option to post (or not post) your results. If you enter your results and then run the distance with a better time and would like to update your time... you can do that too!

Can Kids participate as well?
You bet!
Do I need to show proof that I completed my challenge?
Ideally yes, but you don’t have to!
We do LOVE seeing any app results but you don’t HAVE to upload any results...
for fun though... you should share your accomplishment on social media using #GoodCleanRun #AtlanticChip
Do I need my bib number to begin the challenge?
No, your unique personalized race bib will be sent out with your medals and other race swag. We do LOVE selfies with your bib and medal!
How do I participate in a race?
- Sign up for your race to receive your race bib, face mask, and finisher’s medal.
- Choose a distance and a route to run or walk.
- Run or walk inside or out, on a route of your choosing. Practice safe social distancing.
- Post your results.
- Celebrate your event. Wear your bib and medal with pride!
When can I do my run?
You can do your run any time, day or night, between the start and end date of the event. As long as you walk or run your chosen distance outside or on your treadmill between July 17th and August 31st, you’re good to go!
Why did we decide to include a mask?
It has become evident that face masks will be a part of our lives for foreseeable future in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
What are the rules?
Please follow all State, Provincial, and Municipal laws regarding social distancing, and public gatherings.
Background
In a typical running event season, Atlantic Chip Sport Timing would Chip-Time approximately 130 events. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, obviously the event industry has been stalled. We miss travelling to your towns and seeing all of you, so to stay engaged and included in your running culture and a part of your training, we decided to do something fun!
With GREAT medals, personalized bibs, and quality face masks for each registrant, we felt a 2021 edition of the successful virtual event Good Clean Run was in order.

Race Kit Pick-up/Delivery
Beginning tomorrow morning (Friday, July 16th, 2021) for participants living in the Metro Halifax/Dartmouth and HRM the race kits will be available for pick-up at the Atlantic Chip and Print Run Main Office at Unit 18, 24 Simmonds Drive, Dartmouth, NS. Office hours for this pickup are: Saturday morning from 9AM until noon, and Monday to Friday 9AM to 5PM. If you have difficulty getting to this location or need special consideration, please contact Troy immediately at: 902-789-8463.
For participants living outside Metro Halifax/Dartmouth and HRM, race kits will be mailed by end of day tomorrow (Friday, July 16th, 2021).
