Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Ft. Hamer Bridge Run 5K. Your support helps produce a fantastic race experience for both runners and spectators in our community. Please see below for a description of volunteer opportunities available:
Packet Pick Up: Help participants as they check in and get their race day bib assignment, shirt and packet. Pre-Race Packet Pick Up will take place at the Parrish Civic Center on Wednesday 11.4 from 1:30pm-7pm and Fit2Run at UTC on 11.5 from 1:30pm-7pm and Conley GMC from 1:30pm-7pm on 11.6
Course Marshals (aka The Cheering Squad!) (4:45AM-11AM): Course Marshals will be placed on the course by the Fit2Time Course Manager and will be responsible for ensuring runners stay on course and pedestrians do not interfere with the race. Course Marshals will cheer runners and walkers on along the way!
Finish Line Social Distance Crew (4:45AM-11AM): Finish Line Crew Members will ensure water is on the tables at the finish line area and ensure participants exit the park promptly in a social distanced manor
Parking Crew: (4:45AM-11AM) Parking crew members will assist with bus loading and unloading procedures to ensure an on-time bus schedule.
You may request the volunteer roles you are most interested in, but please be aware you may be assigned an alternate responsibility based on the needs of the event. Volunteers who sign up for multiple positions will be assigned multiple positions, so feel free to sign up for more than 1 job! Volunteers will receive an email on or before 11.2 with their race day assignment as well as race day contact info and check in instructions.
