Why donkeys? Beyond being really cute, friendly and easy to connect with, they're often abused, neglected, and forgotten because there's a lot of misinformation and a lack of information about them. They're not stubborn, they're smart-which is why we have to work with them and not 'break' them. 

The donkeys and mules the DSC rescues and rehabilitates are deserving animals who have had a tough time and many have narrowly escaped a terrible life or even death. I'm running to raise funds to ensure that the DSC can continue to care for them and give them the life they deserve. Anyone who knows me, knows I'm not a runner so this really is an act of suffering for the donkeys! :-)
