The First Responders Half Marathon is a highly regarded event that takes place annually in Edmonton, Calgary, and Saskatoon each year.
We are excited to expand awareness of all First Responders and the challenges they face in our communities.
We are honored to pay tribute to the many first responders who service our communities. We look forward to supporting them and their legacies through raising funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association, Alberta Division at our Edmonton and Calgary events.

FEE & CANCELLATION NOTES
- 5% GST will be applied to your transaction at checkout.
- An online processing fee will be applied to your online registration
- All entries include a commemorative running t-shirt if registered BEFORE October 10
- Online registration will close at 10am (MST) on Friday, October 22nd, 2021.
- Your credit card statement will show a charge from Race Roster or Fast North Corp for your online registration into this event.
- Registration will close when the participant capacity is reached.
- By December 31,2021 participants must be 16 years of age to participate in the half Marathon and 10 years of age to participate in the 10K. Participants under 18 years of age must have a statement signed by their parent or legal guardian permitting them to participate.
- All participants must show picture ID at check-in.
- The Event Organizers reserve the right to deny entries or registration changes for any reason.
All entries are Non-Refundable, Non-Transferable to another person, and Non-Deferrable to a future event unless otherwise stated in our COVID-19 policy:
COVID POLICY
NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED - If the event cannot take place in 2021 due to COVID-19, the participant will have the following options:
-Free entry in the 2021 Virtual Event and will receive the event t shirt and finisher medal
OR
-Deferral to the 2022 event, less a $25 admin fee

UPDATE: COVID – 19 Precautions and Considerations
After the recent announcements by the Alberta Government, we have decided to make COVID-19 vaccination mandatory for the Calgary First Responders Half Marathon.
Registered participants who are not fully vaccinated* are required to provide a negative COVID-19 test result for a test administered within 72 hours of attending the event. If you have symptoms you must stay home and you should book your test online with the AHS assessment tool or call Health Link at 811.
Official vaccine records are available on MyHealth Records.
Additionally, we request participants wear masks while gathering before and after the race. We are implementing these measures to ensure the safety of all participants, volunteers and staff at the event. We are putting these guidelines in place with yuor health and safety in mind. By implementing mandatory proof of vaccination, it also allows us to be exempt from any current restrictions - this includes allowing us to host mass starts!
This was a decision we have implemented for our Edmonton Heartbeat Run, Edmonton First Responders Half, and will be doing so for any other events we host in 2021.
Any currently registered athletes that are uncomfortable with this decision have the ability to switch to the virtual race or are asked to contact us to have their entries rolled over to the 2022 event.
