Our Mission:

What do life, wellbeing, and 220 miles have in common? You get them all done by taking one step at a time. Run The Moon is a virtual, visionary race that seeks to combine the powers of positive psychology and physical exercise for an ultimate create-your-own adventure. Whether you sign up to tackle milestone challenges or the full 220 miles, you will find yourself on a holistic journey of MIND, BODY, and SOUL within a community of individuals doing the same. The race starts with YOU!

How it Works:

You run, walk, crawl, or dance––anything and everything that involves moving your body––wherever and whenever you want. While the physical aspect of RTM is earth bound, the visionary aspect of the race comes into focus as you imagine yourself gaining mileage on the rim of the Sea That Has Become Known – a low-gravity lunar mare on the moon.

If your imagination is looking for something to hold onto, fear not. Our moon-map allows you to track your progress on the Mare Cognitum itself!

Throughout the race, you will receive updates, mini-challenges, and badges for the progress that you make. Your Flight Crew at Run the Moon is here to help you along the way and answer any questions you may have. For more information, check out our website here.

Expected Moon Mission Results:

More joy, more mindfulness, and ultimately more EUDAIMONIA: a sense of well-being that is not based on an end state, but rather on the process and the journey of fulfilling one’s virtuous, varied potentials and growing into one’s most authentic self.

And, other (tangible) perks! All participants will gain access to our budding Facebook community of like-minded go-getters, and can expect to receive a Flight-Kit including space socks, a mindfulness journal, and astronaut ice cream, just to name a few items.

International Astronauts:

While we are all international when traveling in space, Run the Moon’s home-base is located in the United States. International shipping & handling fees will apply to participants registering from outside of the US and rates may vary from country to country.
