We’re back – and we can’t wait to see you at this year’s 14th Annual Friendship Walk & 5K Run!
Scheduled for Saturday, September 11, 2021, we are so happy to once again host an in-person event for this lively, family-friendly, Superhero-themed running event! As in previous years, the course will be set along a portion of the 23-mile Centennial Trail in Arlington, Washington, beginning and ending at Legion Memorial Park.
The Friendship Walk & 5K Run is open to runners and walkers of all levels. The trail is flat and fast with limited elevation changes. The path is picturesque, with large portions of the run surrounded by an umbrella of trees and scenic views.
Every penny raised goes to fund and support Voices of the Village, a client-based performance ensemble band affiliated with Village Community Services, a 501c3 non-profit organization that supports individuals living with disabilities.
Participants will enjoy a race atmosphere that is high in energy, community, and friendship. Upon arrival, event-goers will be greeted by the upbeat sounds of the Voices of the Village band. The Superhero-themed event is fun for the entire family – it’s not uncommon to find teams of Wonder Women and Supermen roaming the park and enjoying the race festivities. Will you be one of them?!
Register early to secure your “early bird” registration prices (through September 1st). Participants will receive a Finisher’s Medal and race sticker to showcase their accomplishment.
Come be our Superhero, support a great community cause, and have a whole lot of fun while you’re doing it!
