The 2021 Swim Around Charleston date is….

10 am start time, cut off after 6 hours
Entry deadline is approaching! September 30, 2021 is the final day to enter this year’s swim.
A word from Kathleen: The tides in September and October were terrible in 2021. Of the two race date possibilities, neither one ideal, one would have incurred an even later race starting time, too late in my opinion and was much more susceptible to hurricane impacts. Our Halloween swim is a late start at 10 am and will likely have cooler water, low to mid-70’s. Please consider this as you decide whether the 2021 Swim Around Charleston is for you.
In spite of my best efforts, race fees have increased as well. It is an expensive venture to host a quality event and I wish to keep the quality intact. We are extremely fortunate to have wonderful partners with Charleston County, the U.S. Coast Guard and others who do not charge us for their services. That said, there remain significant expenses but please know that I will always strive to keep fees as fair and reasonable as possible.
