Hope to see you all at the
2022 Wascally Wabbit X
at the Fundy Trail Snowmobile Club
We figured since the 2022 edition will be the 10th year for the Wascally Wabbit, we'll make it a bit more wascally! We've added ~3.5kms of new stuff to the original loop, which includes a new hill that gains ~200m in 1km! Doing that one, plus the climb outta Gerry's will slow things down a bit.
Course numbers:
31k with 1040m+
62k with 2080m+
*If you'd like to defer to 2023 because the date doesn't work for you, email novascotiatrailrunning@outlook.com on/before April 2nd, 2022.
*Selling your spot is also an option. Transfers will be subject to a $10 charge (paid by the seller).
*Everyone that was originally registered for the 20k has been bumped up to the 31k. There won't be a 20k option in 2022.

Race Day Details
Sunrise time: 5:29am
Sunset time: 8:56pm
Come camp out Friday night so you can roll out of your tent and on to the start line! No late starts will be permitted.
This revised course will deviate from the original route around the 6.5km mark. From here you follow the ATV trail downhill before you start heading up the new climb (yet to be named). Eventually this ATV trail climb turns into singletrack, which will lead you back to the original course. You'll continue on the original route at the ~10k mark. Everything else on the 31k loop will be on the original course.
All distances start at 8am (31k and 62k).
Aid stations: There will be 1 aid station approximately 18k into the loop (Gerry's cabin -- see pic of Gerry's below), plus another aid station at the start/finish. These aid stations will have water, Coke, Tailwind and pre-packaged snacks only due to the current high Covid case numbers.
**No cups as usual, so bring your own drinking do-hickey.
Cut-off times: there will be a cut-off time for the 62k runners to start loop 2. You will need to start the 2nd loop no later than 1:00pm (5 hours race time).
