The Stone House 50/50 presented by Athletic Brewing at Salt Fork State Park in Lore City, Ohio is the Midwest premier trail run festival for the whole family. Runners, Hikers, and Ruckers of all types are sure to find the challenge that’s right for them as our trail festival features 3 exciting trail races through the breathtaking wooded acres of Salt Fork State Park.
The weekend of trail events hits the starting line on Friday evening with a *free* Family 5K trail event and peaks with a 50 miler, and various distances in between. The prime trail feature of the weekend is the 50/50 challenge (50 Miler Saturday/50K Sunday) and the Triple Play (Running all 3 days).

Will there be aid stations?
Trail Race #2 & #3: There will be two aid stations along the 10.4 mile loop, and will be stocked with water, Infinit Fuel, gels and electrolytes. All participants are encouraged to carry a water bottle.
Trail Race #1: There will NOT be an aid station for the Friday night 5K.

How does the relay work?
50 Mile Relay
- The 50 Miler team event will be a relay event. Each individual will be required to run at least one complete loop, to have a qualified time.
- Each of the 4 participants will be required to complete and hand off the timing chip to the next participant in the start/finish aid station area.
- ALL 4 participants should run the 5th and final lap. (Injury exceptions will be handled on a case by case basis to ensure a qualified time.)
What is the elevation gain?
Over 1,100 elevation gain each lap
Can I defer my race entry to next year or get a refund?
No, there are no refunds, exceptions noted below. You can defer your entry through March 1, 2022. After that date, there will be no deferrals or transfers permitted.
Why No Refunds or Transfers After March 1?
The trail runs have certain costs that need to be incurred as of March 1. As of March 1st our race budget has to be 100% accurate to allow for all items involved to be booked and produced in time for race day.
What If I Get Pregnant?
CONGRATULATIONS! That’s exciting! We offer a full refund of race entry upon doctor’s certification of pregnancy.
What If I Break My Leg / Become Seriously Ill / Have To Attend another event Unexpectedly / Have A Death In The Family
No exceptions can be made to our refund policy. If you choose to do so you can open a refund claim through that policy. If you did not purchase the additional refund insurance, you are, unfortunately, out of luck.
How do I let you know I’d like to drop out or drop down in distance?
There is a drop-down distance (transfer distance) feature on the website. There is no charge for transfer down in distances or refunds for price difference.
Can a friend pick up my bib for me?
No. Bibs can only be claimed by the runner and ID MUST BE PROVIDED. No ID, no bib.
Do I need an ID to pick up my bib?
Yes. No ID, no bib.
Where do I pick up my bib?

Where do I put my drop bags?
Drop bags will be located at the Start/Finish line.
Where and when can I pick up my drop bags post-race?
Drop bags will be at the Start/Finish line and that is where you can pick them up, at the end of your designated race.
How should I label my drop bags?
It is your responsibility to label your drop bag.
Where do I drop my headlamp and where and when can I pick it up?
Drop bags will only be at the Start/Finish line, and that is where headlamps should be dropped or picked up.

Where and when can I find results posted?
Results will be live all weekend onsite and at the event website
Can I run with my dog?
Dogs are not allowed on course under any circumstances.
Are pacers allowed?
Pacers (50 Miler ONLY)
Individual
- In the 50 Miler may have 1 pacer ONLY, and only on the last lap (Pacers must register, sign in and receive a PACER identifier on the day of the event)
- If you are on the course with multiple pacers, a pacer that has not been registered or a pacer on a lap before the last one, you will be disqualified
- The ONLY event for pacers of any kind will be on Saturday for the 50 Mile event
Can I run with music/headphones?
We only allow music at a low volume, preferably one ear bud. You must be aware of your surroundings at all times. Dangers include wildlife encounters and high speed multi-use traffic such as mountain bikers.
Are there bathrooms?
Bathrooms will be available at the Start/Finish line, in the main lodge and at the aid station mid-course.
Can I use poles?
Poles are not allowed
Is there post race food available?
Finish line food is for runners only. The Salt Fork Lodge has an active and open restaurant, and there are several restaurants within driving distance of the park.

Is there first aid on course?
Event Medical Services will be on site, and working throughout the weekend. While on course first aid will be available at the aid stations. If you need medical assistance during the race please ask the nearest volunteer and they will direct you accordingly. If you are unable to proceed under your own power please ask the first runner you see for assistance.
What happens if I miss the cutoff time?
Time cutoffs are strictly enforced. If you miss a time cutoff we’ll provide you a ride back to the finish line.
What happens if I get lost?
It is unlikely that you will get lost, as we flag the course, and it is permanently marked. If you think you may have gone off course, stop immediately, turn around, and backtrack the last place that you saw course markings.
Can I drop down to a shorter distance?
The cutoff for dropping down in distance is April 15th.
I have some friends and family coming, is there anything fun they can do while I’m running?
There are many activities in and around Salt Fork State Park!
Salt Fork Lodge and campground is fully booked, where else can I camp?
Salt Fork is located in LORE CITY, OH. There are many campgrounds, hotels, resorts and short term rentals in the vicinity.
