Our story…

This year, members of Team Courage are participating in the Oakville Half Marathon in honour of Todd Courage, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, an incurable blood cancer. 


We are taking on this challenge with the hopes that we can raise funds for Lymphoma Canada and support its work empowering Lymphoma patients through education, support, advocacy and research.

Description

Lymphoma is the fifth most common cancer affecting Canadians and has the fastest rising incidence rate among young adults. Currently over 100,000 Canadians are living with lymphoma and there is no known cause or prevention, only hope for a cure. Lymphoma Canada provides, at no cost and in both official languages:  electronic and print materials on Hodgkin lymphoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma and CLL, peer and caregiver support groups, educational forums and advocacy on behalf of patients. Lymphoma Canada also funds Canadian research.


All funds raised will enable Lymphoma Canada to further its mission of supporting Canadians living with lymphoma.
