CHHAPS strives to promote a safe experience for participants and their horses.
For your Safety:
- All participants are advised to inspect their tack prior to the start of “100 Hours in 100 Days” to ensure it is in good, safe condition and well-fitted to their equine friend.
- All participants are advised to wear ASTM/SEI-approved helmets whenever mounted or driving.
- All participants are advised to wear protective footwear whenever handling or riding horses, (i.e., boots or closed-toed shoes with a study sole). No bare feet or sandals.
For your Horse’s Well-being:
- All participants are to demonstrate good stewardship for their horses throughout the “100 Hours in 100 Days” virtual event. This includes providing any care as directed by a veterinarian, appropriate conditioning and nutrition, and monitoring the horse’s well-being to promote overall good health and fitness.
- Any participant who records what appears to be an excessive number of hours for a given day, or series of days, may be contacted by the event organizers. (Perhaps there was an error in entering hours that needs to be edited).
