For participating in 2022 NILMDTS Fall Virtual Walk

Our story…

Welcome to the team page for In Memory of Bethany! Thank you for visiting and we hope you take a moment to read our story and consider donating. This year marks the SIXTH year that our family has been participating in the NILMDTS Remembrance Walk. This event holds a special place in our hearts as it is our annual opportunity to gather with friends and family in memory of our first born daughter, Bethany.

Bethany was born silently into this world on March 4, 2017 weighing just over one pound. Two months prior she received a diagnosis that deemed her incompatible with life and was born at 34 weeks gestation. In that time period we were full of mixed emotions of starting the grieving process early, preparing to give birth at any time and the anxiety of not knowing if we would meet our daughter while she was still alive, all the while attempting to celebrate her life that was still being carried. During this time period, and even more so afterwards Bethany taught us so many lessons. Cherish life. Love unconditionally. Be humble and grateful. These are just a few. It is incredible to me that this soul has taught me so many lessons and drives me to be the mother that I am today. I think this is why I am so grateful for my daughter because she formed my motherhood and is the one I think of when parenting presents its challenges.

What is so amazing about NILMDTS is not only do they provide the priceless gift of remembrance photography, they also present the opportunity to honor our children that have passed every single year. This gives us a reason to bring up my daughter in conversation, keeping her memory alive, and provide a connection to my living children. We feel that we are able to say thank you to this organization through our fundraising efforts as well as "pay it forward" to those families that will unfortunately walk in similar shoes.

All these babies are beautiful, all of these families will mourn the unthinkable, and without measure all these photos will be treasured.

"Precious, tiny, sweet little one you will alwasy be to me.

So perfect, pure, and innocent, just as you were meant to be.

I’ll always be your mother, he’ll always be your dad.

You will always be our child, the child we never had.

Now you’re gone, but yet you’re here.

We’ll sense you everywhere.

You are our sorrow and our joy, there’s love in every tear.

Just know our love goes deep and strong.

We’ll forget you never, the child we had, but never had, and yet will have forever."
