#teamCOLLINS has been participating in the Sickle Cell Race for the past 7 years. Our doctor, Douglas Collins, MD has spent over 38 years treating patients with sickle cell anemia. Each year we look forward to participating in these races and showing our support for our patients and their loved ones. 

"Every year, roughly 2,000 babies are born with sickle cell disease, the most common inherited blood disorder in the United States."

This year's race is to help children born with sickle cell disease attend camp. Camp New Hope is a seven-day; six-night residential camp for children ages 7-17 with sickle cell disease. Camp New Hope strives to make camp available to all children living with Sickle Cell Disease, regardless of family means and they need our help! 

Your donation will allow children with sickle cell disease the opportunity to have fun, make life long friends, and experience what camp is like in a medically supervised environment. We currently have many patients who have either attended Camp New Hope as children or are now volunteers as camp counselors. The experience for some has been life changing, let's help these young people go to Camp!
