Our routes this year will cater to riders of all ages and skill levels. The ride features a tour of beautiful Aldershot from NextDoor in the east, then West, North and South. It will cover the vast array of the scenery that our lovely neighbourhoods have to offer and will even go beyond our borders to see what our neighbours in Hamilton see of Aldershot. These will all be signed.
The routes this year are variations of a main route that is approximately 40km in length. Depending on your biking interest the route can be split into a 5, 10, or 20km ride. If you wish to do more than 40k, then the option also exists to add a reverse run of the 20 or 40k ride to get your total ride distance up to 60 or even 80km.
In Aldershot the ride will primarily include Townsend Dr., North Shore Blvd. Francis Rd trail, Attractions include Hidden Valley Park, the Valley Inn Bridge & birding area, Woodland/Holy Sepulchre cemetery, Lasalle Park, and the Burlington Golf. Beyond 20k, the ride will take you to and from the bayfront area of Hamilton via Princess Point, the Waterfront Trail, Bayfront Park, Pier4 & 8 and Dundurn Castle.
So, shine up your bikes, lube your chain, lace up your shoes gather your family /friends, get some sponsors and come join us. A delicious barbeque to follow.
