Are You Country Strong?
River Bottom Country Runs for St Jude returns for our 6th Annual race on June 10, 2023 @ 7:00AM
It will feature a 5K, Half Marathon and 2 person Half Marathon Relay that will test your strength and agility as you navigate central Illinois' finest farm country. These scenic runs start with a .25 mile hill and then flatten out for the remainder of the course. All races are out and back style ending downhill, making your last mile your fastest!
New for 2023: A water cannon for the Half Marathon course, courtesy of Goodfield Fire Department!
Prizes will be awarded to the top female and male per race.
- 5K Finishers will receive River Bottom Country Runs koozie, donuts, bananas and beer. (racers 21 years or older)
- Half Marathon and Half Marathon Relay Finishers will receive a finishers medal, koozie, donuts, bananas and beer. (racers 21 years or older)
Packet Pick-Up is RACE DAY ONLY starting at 6am.
All proceeds will benefit the world renowned St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. St Jude has increased childhood cancer survival rates from 20% to over 80% in 60 years while freely sharing its research and findings with hospitals around the globe. Families never receive a bill from St Jude, because all a family should ever need to worry about is helping their child live.

Stretch out your legs with this long run through country scenery and the finest views central Illinois has to offer. This course is mostly flat, farmland roads that takes you from Deer Creek to Goodfield on to Eureka, IL with a display of hometown living. Finishers receive a commemorative coozie and medal. 2-Person Relay Team - Challenge yourself to a country run taking you from the outskirts of Deer Creek to the quaint town of Goodfield and then on to Eureka, IL. The beginning and end of the course is a shaded hill filled with trees. The remainder of the course is open and relatively flat. Finishers receive a commemorative coozie and medal. No strollers and no pets, please.
