Dear Friends and Neighbours,
Welcome to my fundraising page for the Romero House 5km Race & BBQ Fundraiser.
Our family was introduced many years ago to Romero House through a connection my husband Federico Allodi had with Father Jack Costello, SJ. Our daughter Francesca has been a longtime friend of Romero House, spending time first as a summer intern and later as a full time intern before becoming executive director in 2022.
She has imparted to us her enthusiasm for Romero House as a special place for countless refugees and the marathon as exhibiting the power of community and belonging for newcomers.
I fully support her view that in the midst of a housing crisis refugee claimants are among the most affected. Your donation helps ensure that Romero House can continue to provide housing, immigration assistance and settlement support to those most in need.
