Help Emily raise money

For participating in 2024 DICK'S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend

My Story…

In March 2019, Scott Hollinger was diagnosed with ALS. Until his journey with ALS ended all too soon in August 2021, Scott and his family were supported unconditionally and free of cost by the ALS Association. From equipment loans that enabled Scott to continue the ability to communicate, to nutrition supplements, to caregiver support and respite care, the Association made living with ALS manageable for the Hollinger family. Since his diagnosis, I have been supporting the Walk to Defeat ALS as part of Scooter’s Bunch in honor of Scott. New this year, I’ll be running the Pittsburgh Marathon as part of Team Challenge ALS now in Scott’s memory. Please consider sponsoring me in this year’s marathon as the ALS Association continues to support Scott’s family through the Life After ALS Support Group, a new program ensuring that anyone who has lost their loved one to ALS, continue have an opportunity to support others who have experienced this great loss.

Description

The ALS Association Western Pennsylvania Chapter and Team Challenge ALS are running in honor of those currently living with ALS and in remembrance of those we have lost to the disease. The funds raised by our team provide help and hope to those living with ALS by supporting local patient care, advocacy, and global research to find treatments and a cure for this always fatal disease.
