My Story…
Women have been underavlued + underfunded in our society for far too long. Whether it be women's sports or women's health - women deserve more.
So on Sunday, May 5th, my Mother and I will be walking the UPMC Pittsburgh Half Marathon to raise money for Magee Women's Research Institute & Foundation.
My mom gave birth to me and all seven of my sibilings at Magee-Women's Hospital and older my sister, Dr. Jocelyn Fitzgerald, is currently an obstetrician-gynecologist at Magee, specializing in urogynecology.
Magee-Women's has done so much for the women of my family and for the women of Pittsburgh - including, sponsoring the Pittsburgh Passion Women's Football Team, which is Pittsburgh's only professional women's sports team.
If you're willing and able, I'm asking friends & family to donate $13 - $1 for every mile that I'll be walking with my Mom in the half marathon. Let's help give women’s health the funding and attention it deserves.
