My Story…
Our family will be lacing up our sneakers and walking 5 km in honour of someone who meant the world to us – Eileen Nelson.
Eileen was more than just our great aunt. She was a vibrant soul with a love for travel, art, and life’s little treasures. Her kindness, style, and infectious smile lit up every room she entered. She lived with pancreatic cancer from spring until Christmas of 2014, and in that short time, she showed us what it means to truly live – with joy, grace, and courage.
Pancreatic cancer is swift and devastating. It changed our family forever. That’s why we walk – to raise awareness, to fund research, and to support others who are facing this disease. We walk because we miss Eileen every day, and we want to help create a future where families don’t have to say goodbye so soon.
