For many premature babies and critically ill newborns, McMaster Children's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is the first home they will ever know. These vulnerable infants, some small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, often need breathing support and specialized care for a whole host of complications. They may spend weeks or months in hospital, their families anxiously by their side. Your meaningful gift will help support our region’s tiniest and most vulnerable children and their families throughout their healthcare journey.

Anyone registering for the 1KM event is asked to provide a minimum donation of $25 as part of the registration process.

Tax receipts will issued for donations of $20 or more. Receipts will be distributed by the charity after the race takes place.
