Alongside the general risks facing women and girls, the crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and 2S folks (https://www.mmiwg-ffada.ca/) continues, the current political moment is emboldening violence against trans and queer folks (https://www.ourcommons.ca/Content/Committee/441/FEWO/Brief/BR13528939/br-external/EgaleCanada-e.pdf), and human trafficking is an acute problem in Guelph (https://www.guelphpolice.ca/en/crime-prevention-and-community-safety/human-trafficking.aspx).
