For participating in Shoppers Drug Mart® Run for Women - Ottawa 2025

Our story…

In Fall 2022, a group of women met. Our sons and daughters were on the same hockey team. Over that season we formed a bond that has continued strong despite our hockey players moving onto new teams and leagues.

We have supported each other through ups and downs, and have realized how important that friendship and connection is for each of our mental health.

One Saturday in March, one of us mentioned we had gone out for a short run. Well the group chat went back and forth and before we knew it we had all signed up for The Shoppers Run for Women. For some of us this will be our first race, and others are more seasoned, but we are doing this TOGETHER.  We hope to raise support and awareness for this important cause.

Every dollar raised as part of Run For Women helps close the gender gap in mental health by funding better access, better treatments, and better discoveries so more women can reclaim their lives from mental illness and addiction.
