My Story…
Hi everyone! You're probably thinking "not another bloody fundraiser, Jen" - but what can I say except "YES!".
I started running 26 years ago when I was training for my first overseas trip - the Everest Base Camp trek. I ran 5km every second day on the treadmill at my little local gym. Then when I lived in Japan, I'd run around the neighbourhood, then back in Melbourne I just kept it up. Eventually I got into fun runs, and even entered some overseas, as they always gave me a reason to keep training. Especially when I was learning to walk properly again after getting diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease. I've never really gotten much faster though, but still enjoy the challenge of getting out and giving it a go! Then last year I thought I'd try a triathlon for a new challenge, so here I am doing my second one...
I have chosen Pink Triathlon again, as the funds all go to supporting research for a cure for breast cancer. It's an event run for women, supporting women. I love this - last year it was so much fun! So all I'm asking for is a small donation in recognition of my efforts, to go to an excellent cause. Thanks so much!
