My Story…
I started Dragonboat to fill a seat for my corporate team. It is only 8 weeks, they said. What have you got to lose?
Six years later I am still here, paddling full season. This community is the most welcoming sport I have ever known. People of all ages, shapes, sizes and experiences take to the waters. It has done wonders for me these past years. Fun, exercise, competition where your competition can also be your spare, and sharing knowledge and joys.
This race weekend will always be special to me because it is where I started my paddle journey. This charity weekend raises thousands of dollars for local groups each year by people like me, who just get in the boat and paddle.
