My Story
This year marks 20 years since I joined Campfire Circle. It has been a privilege to help bring camp to kids and families who need it most and to work alongside an incredible team—staff, hospital partners, volunteers, and donors—who make it all possible.
I have never been prouder to be part of this organization. And every summer, I set aside a week to be a camp counsellor—one week where my phone stays in my suitcase because nothing matters more than helping kids with serious illnesses make friends, laugh, and just be kids.
A serious illness impacts an entire family in countless ways, including financially—often forcing one parent to stop working. That’s why Campfire Circle’s programs are always free for families. And that’s why the Sporting Life 10K is so important: it helps us keep camp free for every child who needs it.
To recognize my 20 years, I’ve set a goal to raise $10,000—enough to fund 20 camper days of healing, friendship, and fun. If you can, please consider donating. Your support makes an incredible difference in the lives of our campers and their families. Thank you!

Help deliver healing through happiness to kids with cancer or serious illness and their families.
For over 40 years Campfire Circle has provided play-based experiences through our in-hospital, community, and overnight camps for kids with cancer or serious illness and their families. We empower kids to take back their childhood, regardless of their medical diagnosis.
Now, more than ever, kids with serious illness and their families need moments of joy, connection, and healing.
