My Story
Campfire Circle holds a very special place in my heart and I’m so excited to be participating in the Sporting Life 10K to help raise funds. Camp brings joy and healing to kids with cancer or serious illness and their families. I have been a volunteer with Campfire Circle for the last seven years and have seen firsthand the magic that this camp experience brings to so many kids. Through creative and inclusive programming, they foster the opportunity to grow as individuals and build meaningful friendships. It gives them the chance to just be kids in a safe and supportive environment. We will hopefully continue to reach more kids and families across Ontario and send more kids to camp with your support!
It will be extra special to be participating in this event on Mother’s Day. My family has been involved with this meaningful organization since my beautiful late Mom passed away from pancreatic cancer and it has helped fill a large void in our hearts. I feel fortunate to be a part of the Campfire Circle community and am looking forward to another incredible summer at overnight camp!

For over 40 years Campfire Circle has provided play-based experiences through our in-hospital, community, and overnight camps for kids with cancer or serious illness and their families. We empower kids to take back their childhood, regardless of their medical diagnosis.
Now, more than ever, kids with serious illness and their families need moments of joy, connection, and healing.
