I’m reaching out to ask for your support for an organization that means so much to me and to someone very close to my heart.
When one of my closest friend’s son was just 4 years old, he was diagnosed with childhood cancer. Following many hospital visits, treatments, and uncertainty, Campfire Circle became a place of light, joy, and healing. It gave them the chance to just be a kid again—making memories, building friendships, and finding strength in ways that medicine alone couldn’t provide.
Campfire Circle creates magical, empowering experiences for kids with cancer or serious illness and their families—completely free of charge. From camp programs to in-hospital activities, they bring laughter and hope during some of life’s toughest moments.
I’m running in the Sporting Life 10km next weekend, Sunday May 10th, to help raise funds and awareness to ensure more children and families can experience that same support and magic.

For over 40 years Campfire Circle has provided play-based experiences through our in-hospital, community, and overnight camps for kids with cancer or serious illness and their families. We empower kids to take back their childhood, regardless of their medical diagnosis.
Now, more than ever, kids with serious illness and their families need moments of joy, connection, and healing.
