John-Salvatore is running the Philadelphia marathon in November for his IB CAS project, with 100% of donations going to the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). He is pursuing his International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma when he graduates high school next year. CAS projects integrate creativity, activity, and service (CAS) and require students to demonstrate initiative, perseverance, and develop skills of collaboration and problem-solving. His grandmothers are breast cancer survivors and he is honored to run for awareness and money to support cancer research.
