My Story…
Hi everyone!
This May, I’m running the Pittsburgh Marathon with my husband, Gwenn, to support the Homeless Children’s Education Fund (HCEF).
While we are training to tackle 26.2 miles (42.2km) of Pittsburgh hills, over 3,600 children in Allegheny County are navigating the much harder journey of homelessness. For these children, a stable education is their brightest hope for a different future, but it’s often the hardest thing to maintain without a permanent home.
“Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.” (Hebrews 12:1)
We are running so that these students don't have to run their race alone. HCEF provides the backpacks, tutoring, and technology centers that keep their dreams alive.
How you can help:
Pray: For the safety and academic success of these students.
Give: Whether it’s $5 or $50 (or more!), your support helps ensure every child in Pittsburgh knows they are seen, valued, and supported.
Thank you so much for walking (and running) alongside us in this. Your prayers keep us motivated during the long training miles, and your generosity provides a tangible bridge for these children to reach their full potential.
I am so grateful to be part of a community that cares for its children so deeply. See you at the finish line!
With gratitude,
Anne-Laure
