I am running (maybe more of a slow jog at my age 🤣🤣) the Pittsburgh half marathon on May 3rd for the Emily Whitehead Foundation- supports childhood cancer research and access to advanced therapies for patients worldwide.
I have run for this Charity in the past as Emily is the niece of a very dear friend of mine.
Emily became the first child with cancer to receive CAR T-cell therapy. It was her last chance for survival. Emily is now cancer-free, a thriving college student and considered cured.
