My Story…
I’m running the Pittsburgh Marathon this year for a very special reason—I’m fundraising for the Ryan Shazier Fund for Spinal Rehabilitation.
Many of you know that several months ago, our Uncle George suffered a spinal cord injury. Watching his courage, determination, and relentless effort in rehab has been truly inspiring. I’ve also been deeply moved by the compassion and dedication of the medical teams supporting him every step of the way.
Spinal cord injuries are life-altering events. Recovery often requires months—if not years—of rehabilitation, along with specialized equipment and home accommodations that insurance doesn’t always fully cover. That’s why this cause means so much to me.
If you’re able, I would be so grateful for your support. Any amount makes a difference.
You might consider:
$26 — $1 for every mile I’ll run on marathon day
$50 — in honor of Ryan Shazier’s number 💛🖤
$5 — $1 for every hour I’ll be out there 😜
Or any amount that feels right to you.
Thank you so much for your support, encouragement, and generosity. It truly means the world to me.
God bless ❤️
