Join Team Jeff! I never would’ve saw myself signing up for a 5 or 10K race but this year my beloved son, Jeff suffered a catastrophic injury! While he was riding to work seven minutes from his house at San Jose water company-a man ran a stop sign and did an illegal U-turn and hit my precious son. It resulted in a spinal cord injury, and a journey in life that we never thought we would ever face. Jeff has been strong & His faith in God has been even stronger. Through Jeff’s hard work we’ve seen milestones being crossed, miracles happening and we are truly grateful. Jeff and his beautiful wife Laura have run this race in the past. Sadly, last year he was in the hospital for the race so his wife wore a cape that said “I’m running for my husband because he can’t.” Ironically, Jeff worked for SJW, which was a sponsor of this race & because of his injury, he was in one of the best hospitals for SCI rehab, Valley Medical! We are so thankful to Dr Crew and his team.
