My Story…

The American Association for Cancer Research is doing some of the most important scientific work happening today — funding the discoveries that lead to better treatments, earlier diagnoses, and ultimately, cures. Cancer touches virtually every family in some way, and the AACR exists to make sure that the brightest minds have the resources to fight back.

On November 22nd in Philadelphia, I’ll be running my first marathon to support that mission. I know personally what a cancer diagnosis means for a family — I lost my Granddad Geoff to lung cancer and our close family friend Helen Gillanders to blood cancer — and I want to do something meaningful in their memory. If you’re able to contribute anything at all, I’d be truly grateful. Every dollar goes directly toward research that saves lives.

Description

The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is on the front lines of the quest for new and innovative ways to understand, prevent, and cure cancer. We bring together the greatest minds in cancer science to defeat cancer. The AACR invites you to join us in imagining a world without cancer. More importantly, we invite you to join us in making it happen.
