My Story…
Cancer has touched my life in deeply personal ways. My father is a cancer survivor, and I’m also grateful that my stepmother and stepsister are cancer survivors as well. Their experiences have shown me the power of hope, resilience, and the impact that research and treatment can have on patients and families. At the same time, I’ve lost my uncle and a couple of very close friends to cancer, reminders of how devastating this disease still is and how much work remains to be done.
As someone who works at Takeda in cancer research, I feel a strong personal and professional commitment to advancing the fight against cancer. I’m inspired every day by the progress being made, and I know that continued research is essential to creating better treatments, improving outcomes, and ultimately saving lives.
I’m fundraising for the American Association for Cancer Research because their work helps drive the discoveries that bring us closer to a world without cancer.
