My Story…
For decades, a diagnosis of cancer felt like a definitive door closing. But behind the scenes, a global community of brilliant minds has been working tirelessly to rewrite that narrative. That community is the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). The AACR doesn’t just fund a single lab; they act as the nervous system for the entire global cancer research community. They bring together over 58,000 laboratories, translational, and clinical scientists from more than 140 countries. When that lone researcher makes a discovery, the AACR ensures it doesn’t stay trapped in the lab. They amplify it, share it, and help turn into a lifesaving treatment.
Last year, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. I know how it feels to have no support.
This year, I decided to join the Philly Fight Club team. Together we run the 2026 Philadelphia Marathon for a good cause.
Join the fight. By standing with me and supporting the incredible framework of the AACR, you are investing the future where cancer losing its grip on our loved ones isn’t a dream – it’s a reality.
Donate today / Join Our Cause and help me fund the minds that will end cancer. Your generosity translates directly into lifesaving treatment. Ensuring that “cancer survivor” becomes a title worn by millions more people every single year. Any amount or small donations, every little bit truly does count and can make a massive impact.
Thank you!
V/r,
May Carlson
