My Story…
This November, I'll be running the Philadelphia Half Marathon with my Takeda colleagues in support of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR).
Working in healthcare, I'm reminded every day of how important scientific research is. Progress against cancer doesn't happen by chance. It happens because researchers have the resources to keep searching for better treatments, better outcomes, and more hope for patients and families.
I'm also being honest: getting back into running has not been easy. Every training run is a commitment, and some days require a lot more determination than others. Knowing that I'm running for something bigger than myself helps keep me going.
