This year’s Walk for Pets feels a little more personal than ever for our family.

Almost one year ago, we adopted June from GTHS - and like so many pets who come through our doors, she just needed a chance, some patience, and people willing to show up for her when she felt scared and uncertain.

Pets give us so much. Comfort. Connection. Joy. A reason to get outside. A companion on the hard days. They love us without conditions - and Walk for Pets is one small way we can give something back to those who are still waiting for that same chance.

On June 13, I’ll be walking to help ensure pets in our community continue to receive the care, safety and compassion they deserve.
