Many of you know that Jill and I, along with our entire family, are incredibly proud of our son Matthew, who serves as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Coronado Fire Department.

Being part of a firefighter’s family, we understand just a small glimpse of the training, dedication, sacrifices, and challenges that these men and women face every day. It takes a special person to answer that call and be there for others during some of their most difficult moments.

We are a strong family, and we proudly stand together in supporting Matthew and his family every step of the way.

But there are other members of the Fire Service who deserve our special attention when they and their families are in need.

On September 5th, I will be joining my RTS Fitness family as we honor the men and women whose lives were forever changed by 9/11 by participating in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. We will climb in remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice and in support of the firefighters and their families who continue to face incredible challenges.
