Tour & Tea With Us
THIS WILL BE AN INTERACTIVE VIRTUAL EVENT TO BE HELD ON
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 12TH FROM 7:00PM - 8:30PM EST
Tour the renown Shofuso Japanese Tea House & Gardens in Philadelpha's Fairmount Park. This historic site is know for the beauty and serenity found on the property including the traditional tea house, pond garden and tiered waterfall.
Attend a traditional tea ceremony or "Chado", which means "the way of tea". Chado centers on the concept of the host and the guest spending a mutually heartwarming time together over a bowl of matcha tea.
To actively participate and prepare your authentic tea along side our tea master, Keijiroh Yama-Guchi, select the matcha tea product during registration BEFORE OCTOBER 1ST (to ensure delivery by event date) and receive 1.5 grams of Japanese matcha, enough for several bowls. NOTE: store bought machta is not authentic Japanese tea and not recommended for this ceremony.
($5 includes tea, shipping & handling. Unable to ship Internationally).
A bamboo whisk is used at this ceremony. You may purchase one here, it is not necessary as you may use a small whisk of your own.
Of course, you are welcome to observe without preparing your own tea.
