Wine Run Saturday 17th January 2026 What you’ve always dreamed of a Wine Run, that’s right, Exercise, Fancy Dress and Wine followed by a Party, with Live Entertainment. Put Saturday 17th January 2026 in your diary now and get ready to have the time of your life. Starting with a run or walk, within the Rossendale Wines Vineyard at 100 Old Tai Tapu Road - 7 minutes south of Christchurch. We're making the run/walk that bit more enjoyable for you with a wine tasting approximately every kilometre, some kilometres may vary a bit as these are Wine Kilometres. 2026 Wine Run will be 5km minimum, with potential of offering a 10km as well, depending on our Liquor Licence. There will be Cheese and Crackers at every tasting station along with a wine tasting, plus plenty of water and electrolytes for you to keep you well hydrated. When you finish there will be a memorabilia Wine Run glass and Wine Run Coin waiting for you and you can redeem your favourite wine from the bar with your Wine Run Coin. Then food and live entertainment to enjoy throughout the evening. Plus, to get you home safely, you can purchase a bus ticket and catch the pre-arranged buses to and from Rossendale Wines from all over Canterbury. "Check out the bus locations" Or else you can arrange your own transport. Plenty of car parking available. "We recommend a sober driver if if bringing a vehicle". Check out the Video from the 2022 Wine Run (Wine Run is now held at Rossendale Wines) This is an R18 event, meaning everyone has to be 18 years of age to take part and to be onsite. Sorry, absolutely no one under the age of 18 will be permitted in the Vineyard for Wine Run. Proof of age will be required when entering the Vineyard for Wine Run. This id must also match the information you entered when you registered. |

Wine Run will give you the opportunity to mix all your pleasures - running/walking, wine, food and live entertainment.
There will be food trucks, a bar, entertainment and buses to get you to and from the Vineyard. When registering you can enter yourself or as many friends as you like. Please ensure you have their correct names and date of birth as per their id as this is cross referenced when you enter the event and must all match. Spectators: If you have been wanting to come and watch and enjoy the After Party and Entertainment you can register as a Spectator and enjoy the day without doing the Run/Walk through the Vineyard. (All spectators must be registered) Transport: You can choose the bus to pick you up and drop you off at the destinations see Bus List. When registering and chosen to come by bus, you will have to commit to which location you wish to be picked up at. When being picked up at the Bus Stop you will have to have your confirmation email to show the Bus Driver. The pickup and drop off points for the Bus and Timetable are as below, you will be required to leave the Vineyard on the same bus and to the destination you came from. The Buses will leave the Rossendale Wines Vineyard at 9:15pm: If you choose your own transport, there is ample parking for your car to be parked, again we recommend if you're doing this that you have a sober driver. What do I get with my registration?Access to Wine Run; Back Drop; A memorabilia Wine Run glass filled with your favourite wine at the finish; Wine Tastings throughout the run/walk; Cheese and Crackers throughout the run/walk; Electrolyte and Water drinks around the route and at Finish; Live entertainment; Bus to and from the Vineyard; (If you choose the bus option) And the most enjoyable wine event you’ve been too. Rossendale Wine TastingsWine tastings will be provided throughout the run and at the Finish. What do we wear?Dress up and be the hero you’ve always wanted to be. Dress up and make it fun, go to the Op-shop, dad or mum's wardrobe, make it an awesome costume. After PartyWe will be having an After Party for all Competitors and Spectators. The After Party will be just that - a Party. We will have prize giving at approximately 7:30pm, between entertainers. The bar will open at 5:30pm and closes at 8:30pm. Wine Run CurrencyThe bar will have Wines from Rossendale Wines Vineyard, which you will have tasted throughout your Run/Walk and a mix of beers, ciders, and soft drinks. The Bar will operate on a coin based system, where you will be able to buy Wine Run Coins when you register or when you arrive at Wine Run. Wine Run Coins will be the trading currency at the Bar over the evening. There is no need for heaps of Eftpos transactions or Cash at the bar, this will speed things up for everyone, the coins will be able to be purchased at a separate tent and/or when you Register. If you purchase coins when you Register, they will be waiting for you when you enter the Vineyard. The Wine Run Coins can't be used with the food vendors or exchanged for cash. Please note Wine run coins are non-refundable, these can be kept as memorabilia Food and DrinkFood and drink will be able to be purchased at Wine Run. You are not permitted to bring in your own food and drink. Your bags will be checked by Security when you enter, and any food and/or drink will be confiscated. We will be endeavouring to cater for all dietary requirements. If you have a real health specific dietary requirement, we request that you contact us about this and you may be allowed to bring this in. Don’t just walk up without being in contact as security will turn you away. Example’s of this being lactose intolerance, Celiac or allergies. There will be plant-based food available. All drinks and food after the run will need to be purchased at the bar and food vendors. Most Food vendors have EFTPOS, although this can be slow at time with the wireless internet connections. Cash is always good. |
