Hillcrest Elementary PTA
About Us: The Downers Grove Area Council of PTAs is comprised of 15 local PTA units from schools in Downers Grove Grade School District 58 and Darien School District 61. A member of Illinois PTA District 30 and the DuPage East Region, the Downers Grove Area Council serves as a link to the larger PTA organization and to the school districts’ administrations. We provide support to our local units, foster the exchange of ideas and resources among unit leaders, and plan educational and enrichment programs for students and parents of the schools we serve.
Our Mission: The overall purpose of PTA is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. To that end, the Downers Grove Area Council of PTAs will provide our member units the support, leadership, training, and guidance to run vibrant and successful PTAs. We will inspire and strengthen our local units through the sharing of ideas and resources. We will enrich our school communities through Council-wide programs and educational forums. We will foster communications between parents, PTA units and school administration so that we can work together to serve the community and its children.
