Your favourite holiday run - the Santa Pur-suit!

Run a 5k race while dressed like Santa! The suit is yours to keep. This race supports the YMCAs of Waterloo Region.

All participants will receive a full Santa Suit which consists of a jacket, pants, hat, beard and belt, and the entire Santa Suit must be worn during the event. In the spirit of the event, any participant not wearing the full Santa Suit will be removed from further participation without refund.

Please remember to keep your Santa Suit for the following years, to receive an entry fee discount.

Santa Suit Information

The signature feature of this event is the thousand Santas running down the street. This means that the suit is mandatory!

Participants will receive a full Santa Suit with the entry fee. The suit consists of a jacket, pants, hat, beard and belt, and the entire Santa Suit must be worn during the event. In the spirit of the event, any participant not wearing the full Santa Suit will be removed from further participation without refund.

Please remember to keep your Santa Suit for the following years, to receive an entry fee discount!

The Santa Suits come in three sizes, Mens, Womens, and Youth. They are on the large size, so many people choose a smaller size.

We recommend picking up your kit and suit at the Friday kit pickup so that you can tailor your suit before the race!

All entries are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferrable.

Mail in: To 2 Weberlyn Crescent, Conestogo N0B1N0 on Tuesday December 9 at 6:00 p.m.
Drop off: At Runners’ Choice, 255 King St N, Waterloo on Tuesday December 9 at 6:00 p.m.
Online: Right here at www.RaceRoster.com on Wednesday December 10 at 6:00 p.m.

After these dates, entries will only be accepted at Kit & Chip Pickup. All entry fees increase by $5 after pre-registration.

Stork Family YMCA (500 Fischer-Hallman Rd. N. Waterloo), Friday December 12, 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Stork Family YMCA (500 Fischer-Hallman Rd. N. Waterloo), Saturday December 13, 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.

Registrations will be accepted at these times and locations.

Course Details & Information

The 5 KM and 3 KM events are timed races, and the 1 KM event is not a timed race.
The 5 KM and 3 KM courses are certified distances.
There will be water stations on the 5 KM course.
Each KM will be marked.
Courses are subject to change pending approvals and course certifications.

5 KM Course Description
Starting at the Stork Family YMCA, turn right onto Bearinger Rd.
Turn right onto Westmount Rd. N. Turn right onto Columbia St. W.
Turn right onto Fischer-Hallman Rd. N. and finish at the Stork Family YMCA.

3 KM Course Description
Starting at the Stork Family YMCA, turn right onto Bearinger Rd. Turn around point is at Westmount Rd. N., and continue back along Bearinger Rd to the finish at the Stork Family YMCA.

1 KM Course Description
Starting at the Stork Family YMCA, turn right onto Bearinger Rd.
Turn around point is on Bearinger Rd., and continue back along Bearinger Rd to the finish at the Stork Family YMCA.

Directions to the Stork Family YMCA:
From Hwy 401 take exit 278 (from Toronto) or exit 278B (from London) to Hwy 8 West Kitchener.
Exit at Hwy 85 Waterloo.
Exit at University Ave. West (second University Ave. exit).
Turn right at Weber Street North.
Turn left at Columbia Street West.
Turn right at Fischer-Hallman Road North.
Turn right into YMCA parking lot at Laurelwood Dr.

Post Race

Enjoy a post race massage, musical entertainment, draw prizes and a variety of refreshments following your run.

Also hundreds of dollars of merchandise – everyone is eligible. Winners must be present to claim prizes.

Awards

5 KM & 3 KM EVENTS - medals to:

Top 3 overall Male and Female, Open & Masters (age 40 plus)
Top 3 Male and Female finishers in each age and weight category, and
1st place team in each Team Category.
$100 in prize money will be awarded to the top Open team in any timed event in which there are at least 5 eligible teams in the official results.

Unclaimed medals will be available for pickup at Runners' Choice on Monday December 15, 2014.
