Join us for this NEW Highlands Ranch Race Series 5K!
Bring your family and friends and join in the fun at the 1st Annual HRCA Mother’s Day 5K. Soak in the amazing views of the front range, Highlands Ranch Windmill and Highlands Ranch Mansion by running, walking, or strolling. Sign up dad and the kids too and make it a morning of activity the entire family can enjoy. Don’t miss the post race party filled with snacks, drinks, fun for the kids and some great prizes!
First-time 5K run/walkers, elite runners, and moms/dads with strollers, are all invited to enjoy the fun on May 10th!
As part of the "Kettlebell Cash" Series, we will be hiding a pink kettlebell out on course worth $100 CASH to whoever finds it and brings it back to the finish!
Train OC will be hosting a FREE Kids Obstacle Course Race after the awards, so stick around and let the kids that didn't race in the 5K get a chance at some friendly competition!

Course Description
The views from this course are the best in Highlands Ranch! Never before has anyone been allowed to run on the gravel road that takes you along this scenic route from Mountain Vista High School to the Highlands Ranch Mansion and back. Participants will have spectacular views of the entire front range, Denver city skyline and the Highlands Ranch Historic Windmill. Great course for beginners. The run has a total ascent of 196.85 ft and has a maximum elevation of 6,059.71 ft.
Additional Course Details
- There will be one aid station available at the turnaround point (approx. mile 1.5) that will offer both water and Gatorade.
- Course will be well marked with mile markers at every mile.
- This race course is family friendly! Please feel free to push your child in a stroller. Out of courtesy and safety for fellow runners, please start in the back. Due to having permission to host our race on private property, no dogs are allowed on this course so please leave your furry friends at home.

Race will start and finish at Mountain Vista High School in the staff parking lot (on the EAST side of the school) located at 10585 Mountain Vista Rdg, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126.
Parking
UPDATE: Parking will be available in the staff/bus parking lots at Mountain Vista High School. Please enter at the main school enterance and park on the east side of the building. Only the left lane of the driveway will be avilalbe to enter the school so please allow extra time for parking.

Race Day Packet Pickup
You will be able to pick up your timing bib and race shirt beginning at 7:30 a.m. on race morning.
Race Day Registration
You may register for this event the day of the race for $45 (Ages 16+) and $20 (15 & Under). We accept cash or credit card only. Registration will be available from 7:30 - 8:45 a.m. race morning. Shirt quantities are limited so please register in advance to guarantee receiving a shirt race morning.
Goody bags are virtual this year! Please check out all the great deals our sponsors are offering participants. Goody bags will be sent via email to all participants prior to the race.
Awards & Results
Overall Male and Female winners will receive handmade award. Medals for top three Male and Female winners in the following age groups: 12 & Under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Up.
Race results provided by Colorado Race Timing and will be posted at the event as well as on the Highlands Ranch Race Series website within 24 hours of the event.

Additional Race Details
- Race fees do not include additional online processing fees and are non-refundable.
- In order to guarantee choice of shirt size and take advantage of early registration pricing, please register by April 23rd. Shirt quantities are limited and choice of sizes are not guaranteed to those who do not register early.
- We race no matter what the weather conditions, so if it's raining bring a rain coat and be ready to race!
- NO DOGS WILL BE ALLOWED ON COURSE. Due to the generosity of Shea Homes to allow us to race on private property, we will not be allowing dogs on the course. We apologize that you will need to leave this family member at home.

The Climb Challenge - Since 2004 Laurie has climbed over 77,000 vertical feet, seven international peaks, and raised over $65,000 for Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. All the money raised goes to fight breast and other cancers. As a climber, Mother, and person whose life has been touched by cancer a number of times, Laurie is committed to help Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center find better diagnosis, better treatments and ultimately the cure.
