Join us for a 1 mile or 5K Fun Run/Walk event at Vasona Park at the Meadowbrook site. All profits raised from this event will benefit Operation Freedom Paws. http://operationfreedompaws.org/.
Operation Freedom Paws is a wonderful non-profit organization that pairs service dogs with veterans. All dogs come from shelters and rescue groups. The run is Sunday, June 1st at Vasona Park in Los Gatos. It is a beautiful, flat course around the lake. Prizes awarded to top finishers and dog teams. A dog handling demonstration will take place immediately following the run.
The courses are Wheelchair accessible.

Event Parking
We encourage carpooling as much as possible for this event. There is a limited amount of parking inside Vasona Park and vehicle entry into the park is $6 per car.
Pets & Strollers
Friendly, well-socialized dogs are welcome to run/walk with their family. Dogs must be on 6' leash and under human control at all times. No flexible leashes allowed. Always pick up after your dog; ensure dogs will greet properly, NO nose to nose; current vaccinations are required. Ask before greeting a service dog and please do not take offense if the owner says no, it means the dog is working for them at the moment.
Jogging strollers are permitted in this event. The entire race is on a paved surface, however, please be aware that much of the course is on a bike path and narrows significantly in some portions. Please be aware of other runners attempting to pass. Also, for safety reasons, we ask that those of you who wish to bring jogging strollers start the race in the back of the pack.
Operation Freedom Paws Mission
Operation Freedom Paws trains veterans and others with disabilities, leveraging the canine human relationship to become a service dog team, and restore their own independence.

Top Adult Male & Female finishers
Top Human + Dog Team finisher
Top Child Male & Female finishers. 12 years and under for Child category.
