The Arc Grand Prix Run at WGI is a 3.4 mile run on the internationally acclaimed motor racing track in Watkins Glen, New York. The event includes a 1 mile course for those who would prefer to walk a shorter distance.

- Take on the Track in these sporty checkered flag knee-high socks. Add them to your online cart for $6/pair when you register.
- Our race t-shirts will be technical wick-away shirts. Please consider this when selecting your t-shirt size - you may want to select a size larger than you normally wear.
- Put those track club, running club, school, and business teams together to be eligible for team prizes. Create a team when you regsiter and encourage others to join your team!
- We'll be offering free Finish Line photographs! After the race, you can visit this website and click on the link to find your photograph.
- We're adding award age categories: Top 3 Finishers (Ages 5 - 8); Top 3 Male & Female (Ages 9 - 12); Top 3 Male & Female (Ages 70 -74; Ages 75+)

Event Day Details
Timing
The Arc Grand Prix Run at Watkins Glen International will be professionally chip timed by Race Wire Timing. Only participants of the 3.4 mile course will be timed, whether running or walking. Participants on the 1 mile course will not be timed.
Entrance
Please arrive early - participants must sign a facility waiver upon entry and this takes a few extra minutes. Please report to Gate 2 at Watkins Glen International. Gates will be open as early as 6:30 AM. You will need to sign a facility waiver at the gate. Youth ages 17 and under who are not attending the event with a parent or legal guadian must provide a notarized facility waiver. Please call Director of Community Relations, Holly Baker at 607.535.6934 if you need a youth participant waiver.
Post Event
- Race Day is Saturday of Opening Weeknd at Watkins Glen International. After the race, our event participants and families are welcome to join in the fun. Make a day of it at The Glen!
- Gates open at 9:00 AM, laps begin at 10:00 AM, and gates close at 4:30 PM.
- Three paced laps on the course in your personal vehicle - $25 per car, must purchase tickets at the gate.
- Visit the concession stand for a snack after The Arc Grand Prix Run.
- Take photos in Gatorade Victory Lane where the stars of The Glen celebrate.

- 2015 Toyota Green Grand Prix - Friday, April 17 - Watkins Glen International Opening Weekend begins Friday, April 17 with the 2015 Toyota Green Grand Prix! The Green Grand Prix is a showcase of motoring technology that aims for a cleaner environment. The event features a three-stage, fuel-efficiency racing competition of alternate fueled vehicles, hybrids, and traditional gasoline-powered and diesel-powered vehicles designed by individuals, universities, car clubs, and manufacturers. Specators will have the opportunity to view a wide variety of fuel-efficient, cutting-edge vehicles powered by alternative fuels and meet the drivers. Auto Tech students will present educational sessions and there will be many displays.

Overall
Prizes will be awarded to overall male and female finishers of the 3.4 Mile Run.
Age Groups
Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers of the 3.4 Mile Run in the 5 - 8 age bracket.
Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female finishers of the 3.4 Mile Run in the following age brackets:
9 - 12; 13 - 15; 16 - 19; 20 - 24; 25 - 29; 30 - 34; 35 - 39; 40 - 44; 45 - 49; 50 - 54; 55 - 59; 60 - 64; 65 - 69; 70 - 74; 75+
The Courses
Grand Prix Run
Take on the Track at Watkins Glen International! The full length of the Watkins Glen International motor racing course, including the “Boot” is 3.4 miles, slightly longer than a 5 kilometer race. Your route is highlighted in Red. We’ll be timing you, but please keep the additional distance in mind when pacing yourself. You may run or walk the course, but all participants must be off the track by 9:30 AM.
1 Mile Walk
Walkers can Take on the Track too! Join us for a 1 mile walk. Your route is highlighted in Blue.
