Come out Sunday, April 26, 2015, and run a beautiful course on a beautiful spring morning in Inman Park and to help Mary Lin build an incredible playground for its students and community. This year, all funds raised for the Rocket Run will go directly to build the new playground. Start gathering pledges now and you could win a NEW BIKE – earn a raffle ticket for every $25 you raise! There is also a 1-mile Rocket Blast for the little rockets. And be sure to stick around for the Inman Park Festival!
In order to guaranty that you will receive an awesome race t-shirt, the registration deadline is April 12, 2015. You can, of course, still register after April 12, but we will not be able to guaranty that there will be enough extra t-shirts to go around.
ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED - However, you can still register the old-fashioned way, as we will have paper forms at Mary Lin Elementary from 2:15 - 6:45 p.m. today (Friday 4/24/15). You can also register before the race on Sunday morning, beginning at 8:15 a.m.

ALL ROCKET RUN PROCEEDS WILL HELP BUILD NEW PLAYGROUND! The exciting and long-awaited renovation and addition to Mary Lin Elementary School is now well underway and is looking awesome! Sadly, the playground area was removed to accommodate our new construction. Since school district building funds do not cover new playgrounds, the Mary Lin Education Foundation and Mary Lin PTA are raising money to build a great new play space for the children—one worthy of our soon-to-be fabulously updated school facility. All Rocket Run Proceeds will benefit the playground cause.

CAN MONKEY BARS MAKE KIDS SMARTER? Playtime is crucial for elementary-aged kids, and not just for physical fitness and social development reasons that we’re all familiar with. A study conducted by The American Academy of Pediatrics in 2012 concluded that recess actually improves learning, since taking a break between complex cognitive challenges better enables children to focus and absorb new concepts when they return to class. So for every dollar you donate to build our new play equipment at Mary Lin Elementary, our kids get smarter—we think that’s a great investment!

DURING REGISTRATION: Please consider making a donation on behalf of your child/student when you are registering them.
AFTER REGISTRATION: Please talk to close friends and family about what an awesome opportunity we have to build a new playground that will provide enjoyment to children and families for many, many years to come. Ask them to consider making a donation -- either by searching for your child's name using the "Pledge Participant" tab or, if you created a team during registration, by searching for your team name.
NEW BIKE: Every Mary Lin Student who raises/donates $25 will receive 1 raffle ticket! Example: Fundraise $100 for the Rocket Run and receive 4 raffle ticket entries for a drawing of a new kid's bike! Only Mary Lin Students are eligible to participate in the bike raffle.
